A Morris Tapestry
A Morris Tapestry reproduces the graceful patterns of William Morris and John Henry Dearle. Their Morris & Company created the design revolution known as the Arts & Crafts style.
Morris and Dearle's printed fabrics were often inspired by woven tapestry design, a handcraft surviving from centuries before the advent of factory-made cloth. The "Strawberry Thief" was first designed as a tapestry. Art Nouveau style influenced later Morris & Company patterns.
This is a beautiful Collection that ranges from dramatic blacks, to soft and delicate purples, mauves and blues.
